This summer, I’ve worn my Essie Bachelorette Bash polish almost every day on my hands. It’s easy, office-friendly and lasts pretty long. But I recently got this new metallic champagne color Good as Gold (pictured on the left) from Essie, and I’m loving it for the last few weeks of summer. This metallic nail polish is light enough to compliment most skin colors, but it shouldn’t wash out fair-skinned ladies. Also, I barely needed two coats to get a good finish; this polish is VERY opaque. I can see this transitioning into fall to compliment the amazing trends coming: dark flower prints, chunky knit sweaters, everything green and dark leather.
The sparkly polish in the above picture on the right is Essie’s As Gold As It Gets, which would look cute over any color on an accent nail. If you’re looking for a darker metallic polish for the chillier months, my go-to’s are Essie’s Over the Edge or OPI’s My Private Jet – two dark metallic grays that should also compliment most skin tones, with a little edge.
What were your favorite polish colors of the summer? Is anyone as addicted to Essie as me?
